Winner of the prestigious Czech Student Thalie award 2017
Unlike their parents, the children of Vietnamese immigrants in the Czech Republic are by far more likely to think of themselves as Czech people. Having been born into the country, they easily master the Czech language, and they become familiar with Czech traditions and values. Yet they have Vietnamese blood running through their veins, their visual appearance is completely Asian, and most of their relatives usually still live in Vietnam.
The state of being 'in-between' two different environments became the starting point of the creation process of this piece of documentary-theatre.
